Kitchen update

As many of you know, we have been re-vamping our kitchen. Well it is finally done, and as promised, here are some before and after shots. We said good-bye to the painted countertops and tiles, and hello to new sleeker models. Brian installed the countertops and my Dad and Justin did the backsplash. Thanks to the men in my family for all the work!

Everyone has been telling me to update my blog, so here it is.

A few nights ago, I was upstairs on the computer and Justin was already in bed. All of a sudden we hear CRASH, crash, crash. Justin thought I fell down the stairs and I thought Justin had fallen out of bed and hit the bedside table. We discovered that the large mirror in the bathroom had fallen off the wall (it didn't break) and hit the pedistal sink on the way down, knocking it askew. Justin decided it was time for a new set up. He had wanted a new sink for a long time, and hated the pedistal we had.

So Justin and his Dad went on a mission to find a new sink and this is what they came up with. Thanks to Rona we have a lovely new cabinet and sink with hidden storage underneath.

shower and paint

Last week was the church baby shower for Elizabeth and Sienna. It was hosted at Nicole's house. There was a lot of food and Elizabeth took home a ton of pink loot.

Two Grandma's and a Grand Aunt? Don't know what the technical term is, but whatever, she was there.

This is the mural that me and my Mom painted in our baby's room. It was really fun painting, with only minor drips on the floor and wall. Now I just have to get some furniture in there.

On December 30th we helped my Dad move into his new house. He and Bev are renting a much bigger house then before. Although they have the heaviest furniture known to man(so I've been told), they don't have much. They'll have to do some major shopping to fill up the new place. Helping that day was Justin, Brian, and cousin Travis. Ken and Shirley, and Dennis came later to help set up the new place.

PS. In case you haven't noticed from past blogs, my brother is pretty much incapable of taking a normal picture. Oh well, it's funny.

New Year and stuff

Hey peeps. Today Justin and Brian painted our baby's room. Yay. I was so happy when I came home from work and it was done. I was going to do it myself tomorrow, even though I know I shouldn't be painting when I'm pregnant, but I just wanted it done. Now it's ready for me and my Mom to paint a mural. I'll put pictures up later of that.

New Year's was spent at Ben and Sarah's house. There were about 16 people there. We had fondu, loud music, dirty dancing, cigars(not me), booze(not me either), and fireworks. Everything that New Year's should be. Good times.

I finally felt my baby move for the first time. That was neat, it felt like a little blup in my stomach.
